Detailed description of Trails End Golf Course
Trails End Golf Club is a publice 18-hole golf course located in Arcadia, Louisiana.
Trails End first opened for play in 1976. The course was designed by R. T. Anderson.
Trails End Golf Club plays to a par of 72 and a maximum distance of 6,775 yards. The course rating is 72.3 with a slope rating of 126. The signature hole is #9. The green on this hole is shaped like the state of Louisiana.
Every hole offers the golfer a different type of shot. You will use all the clubs in your arsenal. Water crosses through the middle of several fairways, or in front of the green on several of the holes. A number of the holes are lined with pine trees. The course reguiores accurate shots

Lot's of slope, downhill and uphill shots,probably more than all but one course in Louisiana. The price is ridiculously low. The condition of the course is pretty good with nice lush green fairways. The downside was the greens. They were slow and some of the greens had a different kind of grass than the others. Speed was difficult to adapt to. For a change of pace, and if you can't play some of the other great courses in North Louisiana (Squire Creek, Black Bear, Southern Trace, East Ridge, Bayou DeSiard) I think Trails End is not a bad place to wind up. I played in a 4 ball tournament and it was a great time. Yes, I would definitely recommend it.

Great course, very challenging and hilly. Lots of elevated shots, and water comes into play on several holes. Good weekend rates. Does not have a restaurant or bar, so be sure to bring your own if you desire.
